Beginner Pack
We would recommend that your child works through this pack at least a year before the actual exam or if they’ve had no experience of doing a formal written paper before. This will provide a baseline of your child’s ability.
What to Expect
A 7+ English paper will comprise a comprehension and composition section. The passage used in the comprehension section can be either a piece of fiction, non-fiction or a poem. The composition section could involve a descriptive writing task based on the comprehension passage, writing about a picture or writing a creative story based on a given scenario. We have also added some guidelines and a few tips on how to improve your child’s story.
Each pack contains five papers with a full answer and mark scheme.
